Handlebar AI(“Handlebar,” “we,” “us”) provides a missed-call text-back and booking service for home-service and auto-repair shops in Dallas-Fort Worth, TX. This policy explains what information we handle and how we protect it. If you have questions, email us at acollinhardwick@gmail.com.
Information we collect
- From shop owners: your name, business name, email, phone number, and calendar or booking details you connect so we can set up and run the service.
- On behalf of shops:when we text a caller back for a shop, we process that caller’s phone number and the content of the text conversation (for example, what service they need and when). We handle this information as a service provider to the shop.
- Website visitors: basic, aggregated analytics (such as pages viewed and general location) collected through Google Analytics to understand how the site is used.
How we use information
- To text missed callers back, answer questions, and book jobs.
- To send review requests and win-back messages for the shop.
- To produce the shop’s monthly report.
- To provide, maintain, secure, and improve the service.
Text messaging
Our service sends and receives SMS/MMS text messages. Consent, message frequency, and how to opt out (reply STOP) are described in our SMS Terms. Message and data rates may apply. We do not share mobile opt-in data or consent with third parties for their own marketing.
How information is shared
We do not sell personal information. We share it only with the service providers that make Handlebar work — for example, telephony and messaging carriers and the calendar or booking tools a shop connects — and only as needed to run the service, or when required by law.
Data retention and security
We keep information only as long as needed to provide the service and meet legal obligations, then delete or de-identify it. We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards to protect it, though no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
Your choices
You can opt out of text messages at any time by replying STOP. Shops may request access to, correction of, or deletion of their account information by emailing acollinhardwick@gmail.com. If a caller wants their information removed, we will honor verified requests consistent with the shop’s instructions and applicable law.
Children
The service is for businesses and is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the “Last updated” date above.
