The AI Front Desk for Dallas-Fort Worth shops
You missed a call. We already texted them back.
Trusted missed-call text-back and booking for DFW home-service and auto-repair shops. When you can’t get to the phone, Handlebar texts the caller back in 60 seconds, holds a real conversation, and books the job on your calendar.
The front desk is where most shops start. From there, Handlebar automates the busywork that eats your week — reminders, follow-ups, reviews, and reactivating old customers — so more jobs get booked with less chasing.
Get a handle on every call.
Every missed call is a job walking down the road.
You’re under a truck. On a roof. Elbow-deep in a panel. The phone rings and you can’t get to it — so the caller hangs up and dials the next shop on their list.
That’s not a missed call. That’s a missed brake job, a missed AC install, a missed water heater. Most people never call back. The work just goes to whoever picked up.

How it works
Three steps. No app for your customer to download, no new number for you to learn.
1. You miss the call.
You're on a job and the phone rings out. It happens a dozen times a week - that's normal when you're the one doing the work.
2. We text back in 60 seconds.
Handlebar sends a real text - not a canned auto-reply - answers their questions, and figures out what they need. It talks like a person, because it has to.
3. We book the job.
The appointment lands on your calendar. You show up and do the work. After the job, Handlebar asks the customer for a review - automatically.

What’s included
The AI Front Desk
One flat setup, one monthly price, and the front desk never takes a day off. Here’s everything it does.
Missed-call text-back
Every call you can't answer gets a real text back in 60 seconds - a conversation, not a robot voicemail.
Booking on your calendar
Handlebar sets the appointment and drops it straight onto your calendar, so you just show up and do the work.
Automatic review requests
After each job, it asks the happy customer for a Google review - the thing that gets you the next ten calls.
"We miss you" win-backs
It texts past customers who've gone quiet and brings a few of them back - jobs you already earned once.
A plain monthly report
Once a month you get a straight rundown: calls caught, jobs booked, reviews collected. No dashboard to log into.
Do the math on one missed call.
Handlebar is $997 to set up and $397 a month - about $13 a day. Month-to-month, no contract.
Say a booked job at your shop is worth $400. If Handlebar catches and books just one call you would have missed this month, it has already paid for itself - with room to spare. Catch two or three, and it isn’t close.
Most shops miss more than a few calls a week. So the real question isn’t whether it pays for itself - it’s how many jobs you’re handing to the shop down the road right now.

Who’s behind Handlebar
It’s me, Andrew — a real guy in DFW.
I’m not a call center or a faceless software company. I’m Andrew Hardwick, and I live and work right here in Dallas-Fort Worth. I built Handlebar because I watched good shops lose real money to calls they never had a chance to answer.
The two curls in the mustache? Those are my two boys, Graham and Griffin — each one a little “G.” It’s on every truck and every text, and it’s a promise: when someone calls your shop, a real person made sure they got taken care of.

Questions shop owners ask
Straight answers. If yours isn’t here, book a call and ask me.
Is this a robot that answers my phone?
No. When a call gets missed, Handlebar sends a real text back in about 60 seconds and holds an actual conversation - answering questions and booking the job. It is not a canned autoresponder, and it does not pick up your live calls.
How much does it cost?
$997 to set up and $397 a month. Month-to-month, no contract. One booked job usually covers the month.
What happens when I miss a call?
Handlebar texts that caller back within 60 seconds, answers their questions, and books them on your calendar - so the job does not walk down the road to the next shop on their list.
Do I have to change my phone or my number?
No. You keep your number and your current setup. Handlebar works alongside what you already have and catches the calls you cannot get to.
Which shops is this for?
Dallas-Fort Worth home-service and auto-repair shops - HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and brake and auto shops - that lose jobs when they cannot get to the phone.
Is this just a chatbot?
No. Handlebar is an automation system, not a chatbot. The front desk - texting missed callers back and booking the job - is just where most shops start. From there it handles reminders, follow-ups, reviews, and win-backs. A website chatbot is available as an add-on, but it is not the whole product.
What else can you automate?
If your team does the same task the same way every time, it can probably be automated - appointment reminders, no-show recovery, following up on new web leads and open quotes, and custom automations built around how your shop runs. Book a call and we'll scope it.
